BPP Tracking Exercise
Brain-Based Exercise

Track the dot, train your brain

Use your finger and your phone's front camera to follow a moving target. This exercise builds adaptive, focused movement.

You'll need to allow camera access on the next step.

Getting ready

Please allow camera access when prompted.

Hold still

Hold your index finger about 30cm from the screen, pointing at the centre.

Good lighting helps. The blue dot below confirms your finger has been picked up.

Can't see your finger

Session paused. Bring your finger back in front of the camera and the session will resume.

How to use

  1. Tap Start Session and allow camera access when prompted. The exercise uses your phone's front camera to track your fingertip.
  2. Hold your index finger about 30cm (roughly a forearm's length) in front of the screen, pointing at the centre. Keep it steady. A blue dot will appear on the calibration screen once the camera has picked up your finger, and you'll hear a soft beep when calibration locks in.
  3. You'll then hear three short countdown beeps followed by a "Go" tone.
  4. Keep your blue dot following the red dot as accurately as you can for the duration of the session.
  5. When the session ends, you'll see your accuracy percentage and rep count.
  6. For best results: use the exercise indoors with even lighting on your face and hand. Avoid sitting with a bright window directly behind you. If tracking struggles, try moving so the light source is in front of you.
